Who do you think will be our next manager? I've added Di Canio to the poll, but I'm guessing he'll be eliminated by the board because of his inexperience @ managing. Maybe he'll make a good assistant? This poll will expire on Saturday 12 September. Hopefully the club will have made their selection before then. _________________ The future is bright...the future is claret and blue!

I just read an article from the Sentanta Score that is favoring Gianfranco Zola. Donadoni turned the job down, so it's looking like Zola. I've cut and pasted the article for anyone who has not heard this yet. COME ON YOU IRONSSSSSS!!!!!
Zola in pole for Hammers job
by Chris Stanton, 09 September 2008
Gianfranco Zola is now the clear favourite to take over at West Ham after fellow Italian Roberto Donadoni ruled himself out of the running for the Upton Park vacancy.
Donadoni, who is out of work having left Italy following Euro 2008, has formerly withdrawn his application to be The Hammers’ next manager.
Donadoni said in a statement: ''I would like to thank West Ham United Football Club for approaching and speaking with me in relation to the vacant manager's position at the club.
''I welcomed the opportunity of speaking with such a prominent Premiership club and of course, the opportunity of coming to the English Premiership.
''However, is does appear that the board have not yet, after some time, come to an agreement and a conclusion on who the successful candidate should be.
''It is important for me to feel that I have the full support of the club and I have therefore this morning taken the decision to withdraw myself from the candidate shortlist for the club.''
Former Inter coach Roberto Mancini is also unlikely to be photographed hoisting a claret and blue scarf above his head, according to his former team-mate Dario Marcolin.
Marcolin, a close friend of Mancini, said: "There are so many names for the West Ham job but I spoke to him and he told me that he had not talked to anyone."
The field which originally included Slaven Bilic and Michael Laudrup may now have been narrowed to one.
Chelsea legend and Italy Under-21 coach Zola is holding talks with the Upton Park directors and could be confirmed as Alan Curbishley's successor later this week. _________________ I'm forever blowing bubbles, Pretty bubbles in the air, They fly so high, nearly reach the sky,
